Wishlist #5 - The Barry M Edit

Friday, 31 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
I have always loved Barry M Nail Polishes & they have really upped their game lately. They have some out with some amazing effects, including gelly hi-shines, confetti & textured. I have also been craving one of Barry's blushers after reading Summer's review, its peaches & cream, the name sounds delicious & it looks really pigmented & lovely. :)

What Barry M products are you lusting after?

Elf Makeup Mist & Set

Thursday, 30 May 2013

 "Keep your makeup in place all day with a radiance boosting invisible hold. The invigorating mist moisturises and soothes the skin with key ingredients Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C & E. The lightweight, comfortable and alcohol free formula improves makeup wearability and prevents colour from running or fading. Spray on after makeup application to set makeup in place or during the day for a quick touch up to refresh."

Directions | After you have applied your makeup spray a light mist 12-16 inches from your face with eyes closed to set your makeup in place or use for a quick touchup throughout the day to refresh your makeup. Let it dry naturally or blot with a tissue to help speed dry.

Ingredients | Water (Aqua), AMP-Acrylates/Allyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Green Tea (Camelia Sinensis) Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vc), Tocophryl Acetate (Ve) Retinyl Acytate (Va), Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben.

I bought the Elf Makeup Mist & Set Spray quite a while ago but have only just re discovered my love for it. Even though my make up stays on for a reasonable amount of time, when we have warm weather it may need a little help so that's where the Makeup, Mist & Set Spray comes in. The first time I used it I was worried it was going to leave me with makeup running down my face & just be a horrid disaster but it didn't, it felt light & refreshing on the skin, it dried within a couple of seconds, my makeup stayed in place & it helped my makeup look less powdery. I would also like to mention the scent, it is divine! It's quite hard to put my finger on the scent, it smells like cucumber but there is something else aswell. I really like Elf, they are so afforadble & have some amazing products.

Have you tried anything from Elf?

Wishlist #4 - The Ebay Edit

Wednesday, 29 May 2013

 Hey Dolls.
There are so many amazing bargains on Ebay, I always find myself having a little browse & then making a list of everything I want. There are so many more bargains on Ebay but these three I definitely can't wait to get my hands on.

Seche Vite Top Coat
  I have read so many reviews on Seche Vite Top Coat & it definitely seems like a nail lovers must have but the price puts me off a litte, espically since my Barry M topcoat is amaze-balls [yes, you read that correctly] but when I stumbled upon a mini on Ebay for only £2.35 with free p&p [Say what?!] I just can't say no, so it has gone on my list for my huge Small after spending ban shopping spree.

Monkey Nail Polish Dryer
 I have recently started to really enjoy painting my nails & attempting nail art but some polishes can take so long to dry [I'm talking to you Barry M Matte White, which I forgot to add into my Barry M Polish Collection. Oops!] & I'm quite impatient, so when I came across this little gem it instantly went on my list, I was that excited I also made my boyfriend stop watching a video on Youtube so I could rave about it for 20 minutes. haha :) It is incredibly cute & as soon as you have inserted two AAA batteries & have popped your fingers on the bananas, it will automatically dry your nails alot quicker than usual. It is an amazing bargain at £1.98! :)

Cream & Rose Gold Watch
I usually hate wearing watches but since my parents bought me a gorgeous one last Christmas, I have been looking for the perfect one. I stumbled upon this on Fee's Blog & instantly fell in love so I looked at the colours they had & I've been ummm-ing & arrr-ing about whether I like the Cream or White one better for about an hour...I decided on the cream but I may just have to buy both as they are only £2.65 each!
 What bargains have you stumbled upon lately?

NOTD | Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint - Watermelon

Hey Dolls.
Even though the sun is out & everyone is raving about pastels & nudes, I love dark shades no matter what the season is. I went for Barry M Gelly Hi-shine in Watermelon today, it is a deep teal shade that is the perfect blend of blue & green & is opaque in one coat. It is easy to apply as it comes with a good shaped brush & is chip resistant for a good week or so even without a top coat. I really cannot fault anything about the Barry M Gelly Polishes, the formula is amazing and application is easy. The hi-shine, gelly finish looks so much better than having it done in a salon [ in my opinion ] & the colour is highly pigmented. I would definitely reccomend the gelly polishes if you haven't tried them, there is 18 shades in total ranging from a gorgeous nude to a dark navy shade.

Have you tried the Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes? Which ones do you love?

Wishlist #3 - Mint Green

Tuesday, 28 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
Since Mua have released their new designed nail polishes, I have been lusting after quite a few of them but one of the shades stand out to me the most. It's Pistachio Ice Cream, which is a gorgeous pastel mint green shade. I love the look of the colour so much, I have been obsessed with everything that is the same colour. I have been lusting after so amazing amazing items so I thought I'd do a wishlist for you. :)

I love all of these items so much, Mint is such an amazing colour for Spring/Summer & it suites most skin tones :)

What colour have you been loving recently?

My Makeup Collection | Foundation & BB Creams

Saturday, 25 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
I've started a series about my makeup collection, this is my second post & today I'm going to show you what foundation & BB Cream I own. I don't have many but its definitely enough for me for now. :)

Maybelline NY Dream Fresh BB Cream - Light;
The BB Cream is very light on the skin, blends amazingly well & my face feels soft & hydrated all day. It covers my redness & any little blemishes I have & it matches my skin tone perfectly.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation - Ivory;
 Its easy to apply, blends well, leaves my face looking flawless & matches my skin tone really well. Its a light coverage but it is buildable. It leaves my skin with a light dewy glow.

Mua Undress Your Skin Foundation - Porcelain;
My holy grail at the moment, it is the only foundation I own that matches my skin down to the tee, It blends well, covers all blemishes, you only need a tiny amount to do your whole face & feels light on the skin.

 Mua Matte Perfect Foundation - Fair;
Not the greatest match to my skin but it is workable, it has a good coverage but I sometimes have to add a little more on blemishes, lasts all day, leaves my skin looking incredibly matte, i do get a little shine towards the end of the day but nothing blotting papers wont sort.

Mua Matte Foundation - Soft Sand;
This has been my holy grail foundation for such a long time that I would buy two or three at a time. It applies amazing & gives me a really flawless, shine free finish. It lasts all day & covers my redness & any little blemishes easily. It's a light to medium coverage but is is buildable, It lasts a really long time as you only need a tiny bit to cover your face & neck

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation - Ivory;
The best foundation if you haven't had much sleep, It makes my skin look flawless, awake & ready for the day. It gives a very natural finish to the skin & doesn't stick to my dry areas. Once applied this foundation makes my skin feel really soft and smooth. It evens out my skin tone nicely and covers all of my blemishes, It leaves my skin with a natural dewy glow &  Immediately eliminates visible signs of tiredness & minimises signs of premature ageing.

 Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation - Ivory;
I haven't always loved this foundation but for a while now, it may have become 2nd in my 'most reached for'. It feels really light on the skin & stays perfectly all day without any make up slippage even if its absolutely boiling. It leaves my face feeling energised, hydrated & fresh all day. It has medium coverage & leaves my skin with a nice natural glow.

Nivea Daily Essentials Tinted Moisturising Day Cream - Natural;
I love Nivea products but I absolutely hate this tinted moisturiser! It is way to dark for my skin tone, hard to blend, looks cakey even if you use a tiny amount & I would definitely reccomend using a good moisturiser before as I find it dries out the skin quite a bit.

Nivea Beauty Lift Foundation - Ivory;
Unfortunately I have the same problem with this as the Tinted Moisturiser, the colour matches my skin tone quite a bit better but it is hard to blend & leaves my skin feeling a little dry & sore where I have had to work the product in so much, it doesn't cover my blemishes or redness & has quite an odd scent to it. The worst thing is it matches my sisters skin tone perfectly & she is considerably more tanned then me.

Avon Magix Cashmere Finish Foundation - Nude;
I love the feel of this, it is so silky & blends in really well. It is lightweight & has a light coverage but still covers my blemishes & dark circles, It looks like your skin but better. I do feel like my skin looks more awake & radiant which is great when I haven't had much sleep. The colour isn't a perfect match, I could probably go one shade lighter but for the summer months when I use a tiny amount it works really well. It lasts all day even without a powder to set it.

Well thats all the foundations & BB Creams I currently own, let me know if you would like a full review on any of these products. :)

I have already done a full review of;
Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
Avon Magix Cashmere Finish Foundation
Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

Going Barefaced

Friday, 24 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
After reading Sophia's blog post about being brave, I got instantly inspired. Like her I felt that if I walked into the world bare faced people would recoil in horror. I always have to have some make up on my face, it is my security blanket. I suppose to some people it makes me sound a bit vain but wearing make up makes me feel confident & ready to face the world, without it I feel anxious & uncomfortable. So today I decided to start small & wear no make up while I was walking to my boyfriends house, its only a 15-20 minute walk but it took alot for me to do it. Matt has been trying to get me to brave the world barefaced for ages now & I've tried so many times but the nerves get in the way of actually doing it. Matt truly thinks I'm beautiful no matter what I look like, even when I haven't had much sleep, my hair is in a ridiculously messy bun & wearing the worlds un-sexiest pjs of all time. I could sit here & ramble on for hours about how Matt has made me feel so much better about the way I look but that's a story for another time. To my surprise people didn't recoil in horror if they passed me in the street, they went on with their lives without any damage from my bare face. It made me feel so good about myself, something I said I would never do but..I did it! I braved the world barefaced but the challenge is not over yet, I only took a 15-20 minute walk next I want to wear no make up while going shopping or when I go to the Charity Shop I volunteer at.  I want to be comfortable in my skin, without spending ridiculous amounts of time doing my make up everyday, even though I love it..I want to be able to go to the shop or the post office or even to appointments without waking up earlier just to 'put on my face' in the morning.

I challenge everyone to do this, remember you are beautiful no matter what :)

Could you brave the world barefaced? Or are you already comfortable without make up?

Denman D91 Dressing Out Brush

Thursday, 23 May 2013

"The Denman Dress-Out hairbrush has a slender pin tail that makes it the perfect sectioning tool. Its fine tip is ideal for taming stray strands when creating a flawless up-do. The narrow body of the brush carries three rows of high quality nylon bristles that provide grip and control, while the lightness of this agile brush defies its strength"

I had been searching the internet looking for ways to add some volume to my hair, as it is naturally pretty flat to my head. [ Boo! ] I came across the Denman D91 Dressing Out Brush on Amazon for £3.50 instead of £4.29 on the Boots & Superdrug website. I have been using this brush to add volume to my hair since May 2012 & I couldn't fault it one bit. It is a multi purpose brush with three lengths of stiff nylon bristles, an easy grip centre & a handy tail end for sectioning. These features make styling super easy, I use it for teasing, backcombing & smoothing & it does all three amazingly. This brush is affordable, gives long lasting style & fits into your bag without taking up to much space. On the Denman website it claims it is also good for wigs & extensions, if your looking for something to add volume to those. I am so impressed with this brush, it has become an big part of my daily routine & I definitely recommend it to everyone. :)

Tips on to how to backcomb your hair;
1; Section your hair & spray each one with hairspray.
2; Hold your hair away from the scalp, start about halfway down & gently brush hair towards your scalp.
3; Smooth over the top & add a little hairspray to help it stay in place.

How do you add volume to your hair?

St Ives Deep Cleansing Apricot Body Scrub

Wednesday, 22 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
In my last Spending ban update post I mentioned that I purchased a new body scrub as I had run out of my usual one, I picked up the St Ives Deep Cleansing Apricot Body Scrub from Asda as it was on offer for £3. I have only used it a couple of times so far but I have noticed an amazing improvement in my skin, it is alot smoother & softer without any dryness. it has made the blemishes I have on my arms & back look so much better & less noticeable. The scrub has a creamy formula with fine granules, it has a light, fruity, apricot scent that lingers on the skin for a while & as it is less abrasive than a suger or salt scrub it can be used up to two or three times a week.

 'For over 25 years St. Ives have been bringing over 100 countries the best of nature in their natural skin & body care products available on the highstreet at an affordable price.  St. Ives strongly believe in taking care of the environment, their packaging is Eco-friendly & they're always aiming to reduce waste.'

I love the packaging, it looks clean & fresh. The body scrubs are packaged in a white plastic tub with little bits of colour added here & there, simply twist the lid & scoop the product. I use about two - three walnut sized amounts for my entire body. A little really does go along way with this scrub & it is definitely worth the money.

Have you tried the St. Ives deep cleansing body scrub? What do you think?

Mua Lip Liner - Brooding Plum

Tuesday, 21 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
I wanted to vamp up my make up today but I couldn't be bothered to faff about with a lipstick as I always make a mess & then I remembered I have two lip liners, I opted for the MUA lip liner as the Rimmel London one can be a little rough on the lips. I have the lip liner in Brooding Plum, which is exactly what it says on the tin. A gorgeous matte dark purple/pink that can be built up to be even more intense.  The liner is amazingly pigmented & creamy, so it is applies like a dream. It was so easy to create bold defined lips that stayed put for a good few hours. I'd say overall wear all over the lips was about 2-3 hours before touch ups were needed. It makes a really lovely matte striking look & with the sharpener on the lid it is brilliant to keep in your bag for touch ups through out the day.

The Mua lip liners are amazing quality & are a bargain at £1 each, they come in four shades from a soft pink to a deep plum. They are without a doubt the best lip liner I have ever used.

Have you tried the Mua Lip Liners? What shades do you love?

Sleek Pout Polish - Electro Peach

Monday, 20 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
A while ago there was so many bloggers & youtubers raving about the Sleek Pout Polishes, so naturally I had to have one. I picked up Electro Peach & at first I didn't like it but since raiding my make up storage for products with SPF I thought I'd give it another go & so far I have been wearing it nearly everyday. Even though it is supposed to be tinted, the pigmentation is amazing. You can either have a sheer wash of colour or you can layer it to make the colour stand out more.

"A tinted lip conditioning balm formulated with natural oils such as Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Extract and Vitamin A, C and E to help condition the lips and lock in moisture. It also includes SPF15 to help protect the lips from sun exposure."

Electro Peach is a subtle orange-red tinted balm, that leaves your lips with a perfect hint of colour & a natural looking sheen. It is moisturising and comfortable to wear, it feels light & non greasy, with a light vanilla scent that is not noticeable once applied to the lips. The colour lasts about 3-4 hours even with eating & drinking through out the day, The colour lightly stains your lips after it wears off & leaves it with a nice flush of colour. I am really impressed with the quality of the Sleek Pout Polish & I may buy more shades in the future.

What shades have you tried from the Pout Polish range?

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Scented Body Lotion

Saturday, 18 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
When I had the Taylor Swift Wonderstuck Gift Set for my birthday last year I was so excited, I absolutely love the scent. The set came with the 30ml perfume, a mini perfume & a body lotion. I haven't used the body lotion all all so as I spent the night at Matt's place last night & decided to take it with me, I thought I'd do a first impressions review.

First of all the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! I love the design & as its a squeezy tube it is easier to control how much you dispense & easy to throw in your bag. The body lotion feels light on the skin but is rich enough leave my skin feeling soft, hydrated & moisturised all day. Like the perfume the scent is quite strong but not to overpowering, it lingers on the skin all day & has the most beautful notes.

Heart Notes | Hawaiian White Hibiscus, Honeysuckle, Mimosa Flowers, Vanilla Whoopie Pie.
 Top Notes | Freesia, Green Tea, Apple Blossom, Raspberry, Dewberry.
Base Notes | Amber, Sandalwood, Musk, Peach.

As I live in Wales & it can get very cold so I need something that will leave my dry skin soft, hydrated & moisterised all day without leaving it irritated & this really does the job. I may even favour it over my satsuma body butter from the body shop which I have been obsessed with lately.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find this lotion on its own in the UK, so I will be very unhappy when it runs out, it is such a lovely scented lotion & I would really recommend it to everyone. :)

Have you tried the Taylor Swift Fragrance or Lotion? What do you think?

Would You Rather? Beauty Edition

Friday, 17 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
Today I'm going to do the Would You Rather? Beauty Addition tag which I have seen on quite a few blogs lately & I have really enjoyed reading them. I love doing these kinds of posts as I like to know little snippets about the person behind the blog & the questions were really fun to answer.

1. Would you rather lose all your mascaras, eye liners, lipsticks and lip glosses or all your palettes and eye shadows?
I would much rather lose my eyeshadows, I only really use one colour on a daily basis. I have to put a little mascara on everyday even if I'm not wearing any other make up.

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I absolutely hate short hair on me & even though I try to avoid having my hair cut as much as possible, the split ends would become horrendous! So I think I would have to have it cut short & let it grow back.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I like both but I much prefer a coral cheek, I think ti suites my skin tone better.

4. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Definitely clothes, I hardly ever buy clothes for myself. I find it so much easier to find make up items I like so my wardrobe could do with some updating.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eye liner, or eye liner as lipstick?
I would much prefer applying eyeliner as lipstick, you can get some really creamy liners in so many colours.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Neither, I haven't bought anything from either as MAC are ridiculously overpriced & as I live in the UK I can't purchase anything from Sephora.

7. Would you rather only use one eye shadow or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
I usually only wear a lip balm so it would have to be one lip colour for the rest of my life, I don't wear more than one eyeshadow very often either but I do love my Mua Heaven & Earth Palette & love creating looks with it.

8. Would you rather wear Winter clothes in the Summer, or Summer clothes in the Winter?
As I live in Wales & it can be a gorgeous sunny day & then raining & feeling like winter the next, I don't have many summer clothes, I live in skinny jeans & I am pretty much always wearing a hoodie. So I would rather wear Winter clothes.

9. Would you rather wear dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I would much prefer dark nails, I only wear bright colours every now & again. I love burgandy shades & dark purples, could happily wear them all year round.

10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?
I think I would have to give up my favourite lip product as I have a few that I love but I am very fussy about the products I put on my eyes so I would rather stick to what I know works.
11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?
Messy bun for sure! I really don't like the way I look with a ponytail, as my hair is quite flat to my head & backcombing or volumising sprays don't really hold when I have a ponytail.

12. Would you rather never being able to paint yours nails again or never use lip gloss?
This is an easy one, I hate lip gloss. So I would rather never use that. I really don't like the way it looks, its really sticky & as I have long hair, if there is even a smallest bit of wind it will get stuck to my lips.

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? Or Sharpie them in everyday?
Oh Dear, they both sound awful! I hate the look of drawn on eyebrows but then having none would look just as bad. I would have to sharpie them in..& never leave my room..ever haha.

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Even though I have started to love painting my nails, I probably could live without it. If I'm not wearing makeup, I don't feel ready to face whatever the world throws at me & it makes me want to be lazy all day! As sad as it sounds, I don't think I could live without wearing any makeup at all, it gives me such a confidence boost & makes me feel so much better about my self that I kind of need it in my life. It sounds a bit shallow but I've never really liked the way I look & I think make up helps me make what I have..better.

Have you done this tag? If you have please leave a link in the comments below, I would love to give it a read. :)

Guest Post | Summer Essentials

Wednesday, 15 May 2013

Summer Essentials!
 Hi guys! It’s Mel from Drifted Day Dreamer at www.drifteddaydreamer.blogspot.co.uk !
Ash and I have decided to write for each others blogs!:) Anyway, now the sun is kind of out, and it’s the season where it should come out, we have both decided to do our summer essentials.

Makeup wise,  I have 9 things. You may see similar sort of patterns with colouring and shimmer. I feel in the summer you have to have a little bit of shimmer. I love the simmer on my cheeks with a matte lip, or a glittery type of lip with matte cheeks, both matte, or both shimmery could become a little overpowering.

Lips; MAC Lipstick, Viva Glam Nicki.
I love, love this lipstick, its a satin finish, so semi-matte, and its bright pink. It looks lovely with everything in the spring/summer. You can make it work with any outfit.
Also, a little tip, It looks lovely as a blush, just dap a bit on your finger and pat it on your cheek, it gives a lovely hot pink glow, without it being too overpowering.

Miss Sporty Lipstick; 055 Dream.

A really cheap lipstick for only £2! As cheap as chips! It’s a lovely red colour that is workable on all skin tones, and easy to apply, no mess ups, a quick swipe is all thats needed for an opaque finish.

Blushers now; Benefit Bella Bamba,
Also one that is a shimmery pink, lovely for the summer! Smells summery, of watermelons! A staple for me for the warmer months.

What is summer without a bit of coral blush? It has to be Hot Mama by the Balm!
It’s a gorgeous colour which is buildable on the cheeks, it gives a pretty coral finish.

Highlights; For the highlighting objects I love MAC’s white eyeliner on my lower lash line and the inner corners, Also, high brow glow for my eyebrows.

Bronzers; I just adore my Elizabeth Arden  Bronzer, It gives a lovely healthy glow look to you!

Mascara; For the eyelashes, I love Both Benefit’s they’re Real Mascara, it defines the lashes lovely! I also like the Maybelline’s Falsies, it’s the same concept as the they’re real mascara, only cheaper, and a different brush!

Primer; Last but by no means least for makeup, is the That Gal face primer by Benefit, I also love the Porefessional, in which I prefer the Porefessional, however Porefessional gives more of a matte look, whereas That Gal gives more of a dewy hue.

I love floral scents for the summer, aswell as floral patterns on outfits, in which you may be able to tell.. Oops. The five I’ve picked out which do have more than just floral are below,

The Loverdose Perfume, that is quite florally, and smells gorgeous. A favorite of mine, and by Diesel.

Meow! By Katy Perry, I actually cannot put my finger on what this smells of, but it is a lovely scent!

Two Harajuku Lovers Perfumes; Baby (from a collection) and Love. Baby smells very cleanly, a very clean scent, which I also like, nice and light for day time in the summer for example.
Love, is also florally.

Lastly, Is Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift, again, a floral scent, mixed with some clean scent, It does smell lovely.

Just a quicky here, but I’m sure im not the only one who brings out the plaits for the summer! I love it, it just brings texture to the hair, it looks gorgeous with a tan, and with a little bow, which you can see I’ve added.

Lastly, is outfits, Patterns for summer are so in, especially for florals, as thats when the flowers naturally start to blossom. Why not embrase the fact its summer?! I have picked out four outfits, One top, two dresses and one skirt.

The patterns range from Birds, Flowers, Hearts, Diamonds, Leopard print, Butterflies, anything that screams summer, is an essential.

A little sneaky tip, Primark at the moment have gorgeous dresses and tops for sale, really cheaply, Especially the top, first on the left, I got for only £3! Bargain! A worth having a look!

That is it for my summer essentials posts! I Hope you enjoyed that and give you a little hint in what you could possibly take insperation from for your summer.

Have a lovely time in the sun, catching some rays, getting a tan, but stay safe!

Rimmel London 1000 Kisses Lasting Finish Lip Tint - Nothing But Nude

Tuesday, 14 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
I have recently been having a raid through my lip products drawer & I came across the Rimmel London 1000 Kisses Lasting Finish Lip Tint that I bought on a whim a couple of months ago. I picked up Nothing But Nude which is strange as I'm not a huge fan of nude lips.

Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Tint features a non-transfer formula that leaves beautiful, natural tinted lips.The ultra-comfortable, non-transfer formula won’t smudge or rub off, while the caring balm leaves lips moisturised.

1000 Kisses Lip Tint gives your lips a flush of intense, vibrant colour that stays put all day long. Leaving no trace, so your kisses never tell. The speedy two step application delivers a fabulously flawless finish, with a precision pen tip delivers the mistake free colour you're looking for & a caring balm that seals the deal. The lip tints are amazingly pigmented, they feel light on the lips, last all day & is transfer proof.  Nothing but nude is quite a bit darker than I expected it to be when I first picked it up but I do really like it, in the photo's I have built it up quite a bit & in my opinion it looks more like a red/ornage nude.

3-4 coats without the Balm
3-4 coasts With the Balm
2 coats swatched on hand

Miners Love Phat Liner - Bandit

Monday, 13 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
I have recently started lining my upper water line so I hunted through my eye make up drawer to find my pencil eyeliners & I found my Miners Love Phat Liner in Bandit which I had for Christmas a couple of years ago. It retails for £3.99 but is current £1.99 on the Miners Cosmetics website.

Love Phat Liner in Bandit is a deep black hue which is the perfect tool for creating stunning smokey eyes. This chubby eye pencil can be used as a liner, definer and all over eye pencil; making Love Phat Liner 'the' must have cosmetics essential.

Bandit is a incredibly pigmented creamy eyeliner, it glides on effortlessly & lasts all day with no appearance of the horrid panda eyes as I was worried about as my eyes watered horribly the first time I lined my upper water line. You can create a thin or thick line even though the pencil is chunky. I don't really wear eyeliner on my lower water line anymore but I wanted to define my eyes more, this has done the job perfectly.

Have you tried this eyeliner? What do you think?

Old El Paso Smokey Barbecue Fajita Dinner Kit

Saturday, 11 May 2013

Hey Dolls.
As my parents went out for the day Matt & I decided to cook a meal together & as it was a lovely sunny day we decided to make fajita's & eat them outside.

Old El Paso Smoky Barbecue Fajita Dinner Kit [ Eight Tortilla's, Salsa & Barbecue Spice Mix ]

Other things you could add:
Add the chicken into a wok & cook it on a medium heat until the chicken is done.

Add the peppers & spice mix & cook for an extra five minutes.

Keep it on a low heat while you prepare your tortillas.

You can do this however you want but I placed the lettece down the centre of the tortilla, add a few slices of cucumber on top & then add the fajita mix.

To finish the tortillas I added a generous helping of salsa & folded the bottom & then the sides to make sure nothing fell out.

We really enjoyed making these together & they were incredibly delicious
Have you made any yummy meals lately?

My Body Confidence Issues | Embracing My Curves

Friday, 10 May 2013

 Image from Google

Hey Dolls.
This is the third post in My Body Confidence Issues series & today I'm going to talk about my size.
I have always believed that you have to be skinny to be beautiful, it is portrayed in everything. Adverts, Music videos, Models, Hollywood in general. etc. The media bitch when a woman is too thin or when she actually puts on some weight then she is too big. So many girls think they should be as skinny as a model or actress & they just end up making themselves sick in the process. I have always had curves & I have struggled with confidence all my life, I got bullied in school for my weight among other things & it got to the point where I didn't want to eat anything..I would go without meals & in the end I just felt pretty crappy even though I lost some weight & people complimented me on it..I wasn't happy I didn't lose the weight because I wanted to it was because I felt like I had to...Like it was the only way I would fit in.

So then my parents took me out of school & I had a tutor for a while, it was great. She was so nice & she told me that people usually get bullied because the bully isn't happy with their own life or they feel like they have to bully someone to not get bullied themselves. It made sense as one of the girls who bullied me was a lot bigger than I was but it still wasn't fair that all my confidence was taken away because those girls had issues with their life. I have gained some confidence since meeting Matt, he does everything he possibly can to make me feel good about myself & I know he means it. I have also gained confidence from volunteering at Barnardo's & from an amazing blogger, Sian. I have mentioned her in My First Dress Purchase In 2 Years & First OOTD post & everything I said couldn't be more true. She is so beautiful & her style is amazing, she always wears whatever she wants because at the end of the day its what she thinks that matters. She is my role model, she embraces her curves & has helped so many girls realise you don't have to be skinny to be beautiful.

 As I have a bigger bust than most girls I have to go up a size or two for tops to fit comfortably & not many shops stock my size which is a shame. Its always really disheartening to find a piece if clothing you love but then finding out that they don't even do clothes close to your size. I am a size 18 & I'm finally getting to a place where I am confident about my body, it only took 8 years to wake up & not despise what I see in the mirror. So if you are a bigger woman or even if your not, one day you will love the way you look because you should, you are all beautiful no matter what shape or size you are. Even though I am not 100% confident with my body, I'm getting there & I am going to embrace my curves, wear what I want & not worry about what people will think.
