Wishlist #33 - The No7 Edit

Saturday, 10 January 2015

I really love the No7 Cleansing Body Polish & Cocooning Body Balm but after getting the Cleansing Set for Christmas, I really fell in love with the brand. The set came with the cleansing brush, gel cleanser & night moisturiser - the quality is absolutely amazing & the difference in my skin is quite impressive. I decided to check out the brand on the Boots website & added quite a few things to my wishlist, so I thought I'd share them with you.
Are you a fan of No7? Have you tried any of these products?

What I've Bought #22 | Boxing Day Sale Bagains

Thursday, 8 January 2015

I couldn't manage to stay away from the boxing day sales but unfortunately they were slightly disappointing as I only managed to pick up three things..although my bank balance may see that as a good thing.

When the sales come around, I always try to pick up some bits & bobs for next Christmas. I went onto Boots as they always have incredible Christmas sets but only managed to get something for my sister & her other half as most of the good things were already sold out. I then spotted the Starbucks cocoa trio which was reduced from £10 to £5 but no one I know drinks a lot of hot chocolate...except for me... I love Starbucks & I have recently became a little addicted to hot chocolate. It was clearly meant to be! It contains three different flavoured hot chocolate sachets - Double Chocolate, Marshmallow & Salted Caramel. I have already tried the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate & it's amazing! The stacking tins are also really cute, so I will definitely be finding a use for them.

I have been hunting for a new purse for quite a while now but couldn't find one that I liked that didn't cost an arm & leg. I then received an email from New Look mentioning that they currently had a sale, so I went to have a look & found this gorgeous black glitter laser cut purse which had been reduced from £10 to £7 & then down to £5. I've been after a new pair of black ankle boots but can never seem to find a pair I like & it's the case this time but I did find a pair of Black glitter tassel loafers which went from £18.99 to £6 I believe. They are incredibly comfy & went perfectly with my New Years day outfit.

Did you get anything in the sales?

Wet n Wild Walking On Eggshells Eyeshadow Trio

Tuesday, 6 January 2015

After having a little rummage through my makeup stash, I came across the Walking On Eggshells trio from Wet n Wild. I have had it for quite some time but haven't really given it the love it deserves blog wise. I think it's about time I changed that. I find that this is the palette I reach for when I'm traveling, it doesn't take up a lot of space & it has the shades I've been mainly reaching for for the last few months.

The trio contains three shades which have been labelled to make the palette easy to use. There is a light champagne shade for the browbone, a medium bronze shade for the crease & a frosty pink shade for the lid. I have mainly been reaching for the browbone & crease shade as they are just stunning but the lid shade is perfect for days where you just want to add a little something without it standing out too much. [Does that make sense?] The quality of the eyeshadows is incredible! They are buttery soft, nicely pigmented & apply/blend like a dream with only a teeny tiny bit of fallout which can be easily swept away with a fluffy brush. In terms of wear - when used with a primer, they last all day without creasing but it does start to fade ever so slightly after a few hours. My favourite part of the trio is the browbone highlight, it is so beautiful! It's not overly shimmery or glittery, it just adds a really nice glow. I have been using it as a face highlight, if I'm a little rushed for time & it looks incredible!

NOTD | Black & Gold

Saturday, 3 January 2015

If you have read my Christmas Bits & Pieces post, then you will know I received a gorgeous Studio nail polish set. The set contains three glitter polishes that are perfect for the festive season. The nail polish that I was instantly drawn to was Night Sky, it's a black shade that has small & large gold glitter particles running through it. Black & gold is my favourite colour combination, it never fails to look amazing. I find that polishes like this aren't very opaque, so I always apply one - two coats of a black polish beforehand. So far, I have had it on for 2-3 days & there isn't a single chip in sight.

I am really impressed with the Studio nail polish & can't wait to try out the other two shades.

Products used:
Models Own Base & Top Coat.
Lumiere - Black.
Studio - Night Sky.
